Youth

From its inception, Calvary Baptist Church has been ministering to the youngsters to raise a Christian Generation and Godly Leaders.  Its motto to raise ‘Young for God’ has yielded in heaps and bounds. Some serve in the government sectors and few have turned out to be pioneering missionaries to various places. The Calvary Baptist Church recognizes the special ability of the ‘The Young’ and appoints them into various leadership activities.

The Calvary Youth actively participate in the Quiz, Singing, and Elocution conducted by the other churches in and around the city of Visakhapatnam. Presently, Rev. G. John Peter is appointed as Youth Pastor to lead the Youth.  The youth gather evey Saturday at 6.00 p.m.  for a prayer and are involved in various activities like Bible Quiz, learning Power Point Presentations, Essay Writings, etc. They are encouraged for the missions and for this the church teaches and shows them Missionary biographies.

A Sunday in a month Youth is devoted to Evangelism which is exclusively done by the youth. They distribute tracts on the busy streets and stand displaying pluck cards with the Bible verses. The Church annually conducts Youth Retreat on the 15th of August. The Youth from three districts gather for the same and the Church involves in edifying the young for the Service of the Lord.
